STREET & CLUB DANCE STYLESKarolina trains in waacking, vogueing, popping, and house dance. She has trained with teachers such as Kumari Suraj (House of Suraj/The Waackers), Tia Aiono, Lorena Valenzuela (The Waackers), OG Viktor Manoel, Juju Nikz, Princess Lockeroo, Daniel Giron (House of Ada), Javier Ninja (House of Ninja), Ray Basa, Cristina Benedetti, Tony Ray, Jesus Rodales, Icon/Sleepy Tut, DSoul, Matthew Gibbs, DonnaMation, PopNTod, Anthony Thomas (Janet Jackson/Rhythm Nation), and more! She is always striving to step up her cypher and battle game, and incorporates much of this training into her choreographies, freestyle, and performances.

Neo Bellydance is Karolina’s unique definition and style in belly dance arts. Besides that, she also performs and trains in Tribal Fusion Bellydance (an American creation of belly dance, a few decades old, originating from the San Francisco Bay Area), and traditional dances of the Middle East, the Balkans, and Northern Africa. She has studied traditional dances such as the Egyptian Saaidi (the stick/cane dance), or the Turkish Karsilama. She also has trained extensively in finger cymbals (or “zagat”/”zills”, depending on region of reference), and other common belly dance props such veil, or sword. Karolina has studied extensively with some of the top belly dance teachers in the world, from Aziza, Zoe Jakes, Mira Betz, to Suhaila and Jamila Salimpour, and dozens more, and attended festivals such as Tribal Massive or Middle Eastern Music and Dance Camp for many years, also training in music from the Middle East/North African/Balkan regions. JAZZ/CONTEMPORARYKarolina studied ballet and Pilates at San Francisco State University (besides her World Dance components), studied jazz at University of Massachusetts Amherst, ballet and jazz at Humboldt State University, and studied Sylvestre Brazilian-contemporary technique at Smith College with founder Roseangela Sylvestre and Donna Mejia. She also trained with assorted modern teachers at the acclaimed ODC studio in San Francisco and with Princess Grace Award recipient, Franco Nieto, and Samantha Campbell of NorthWest Dance Project in Portland, OR. Karolina incorporates much of this training her choreographies, classes, freestyle, and performances.

Karolina has trained for years in partner dances such as swing dance and in solo Charleston. She also has trained in various circus arts such as juggling, acrobatics/partner stunting, and stilt-walking. This makes her performances highly engaging and her skill set on stage or as ambient character quite versatile. She toured with the acclaimed rock-n-roll circus band, March Fourth Marching Band for years, as performer and co-captain of the Cirque Team, stunting and dancing, for large theaters, festivals, and clubs.
