CHOREOGRAPHY & ARTISTIC DIRECTIONKarolina is a sought-after choreographer, with dances appearing at festivals, in music videos, and studios across the country. She incorporates her skills from theater, belly dance, waacking, vogueing, house, jazz, ballet, swing, acrobatics, and story-telling to bring music to life. She also has the benefit of being a musician and composer herself, and founder of internationally-touring EDM project, Sepiatonic, to be able to create original tracks made specifically for certain projects. Karolina loves to collaborate with producers of all kinds to help bring your event to life with original works of dance!
Karolina studied the art of choreography and dance administration at San Francisco State University, and the department of Theater, Film, and Dance at Humboldt State University. Not only did her higher education specialties give her technique, but they focused on bringing stories, archetypes, and concepts to life through movement and collaborations with other artistic fields. She is proud to be a “gap-bridger” between many realms, often helping dancers convey their needs and ideas to musicians with her knowledge of both dance lingo and musical theory, or helping acrobats or aerialists create dance transitions in their works. |
STAFFING & ARTS ADMINISTRATIONKarolina has done staffing, arts curation, show design, costume design, and artistic direction for many projects, from restaurants, corporate events, touring shows, to festival features. She was the Entertainment Director for Berber, a Forbes-reviewed restaurant and cirque club in San Francisco, staffing each show, designing costume themes, writing plots, and crafting set lists. She also was choreographer, staffer, and Cirque Team Co-Captain of touring act March Fourth Marching Band, and wardrobe handler for internationally acclaimed Beats Antique, managing dozens of costumes per night for multiple dancers. She has years of experience touring, tour management, working with venue staff, managing technical elements such as pipe and drape, sound equipment, and curating spaces onstage and backstage to create successful shows. She also is an Artistic Director and curates aesthetic and brand design for her internationally touring band and dance project, Sepiatonic.
Karolina founded two non-profits, “A.R.T.: Arts, Recreation, and Theater” seeking to bring arts education to under-served schools in Northern California, and “Catalyst”, that aimed to help touring dancers educate under-served communities. She has extensive knowledge of arts administration, organization, funding techniques, and community outreach. Karolina is available not only as a performer, teacher, and choreographer, but as a staffer for your corporate or artistic event. She will draw on her extensive Rolodex of diverse dance and cirque artists and musicians to bring you the top performers in your area, and make your event memorable! |
